The Gallery
Each canvas waits behind a veil of grain. Press, hold, and drag your cursor across a piece — the texture parts under your touch and the painting reveals itself, then settles back into shadow.
About the Artist
Mahira Bint e Hayat
Mahira is a self-taught painter and sketch artist whose practice wanders between oil pastel landscapes, graphite still life, and acrylic studies of earthen objects. Her work is quiet, unhurried, and deeply attentive to light — to the way a sunrise spills over a lake, the weight of a clay pot resting on a wooden table, the soft architecture of a single rose.
She paints from observation and from memory, treating each piece as a small act of preservation. Behind every finished work, there is a slower, grainier draft — the texture of the page, the pressure of the hand. This site is an invitation to look past the grain.
